Taylor Hogarth Joins Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption-Canada™ Board of Directors
Foundation committed to finding permanent homes for the more than 30,000 children waiting in Canada’s foster care system
Burlington, ON — The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption-Canada recently welcomed Taylor Hogarth, Chief Operating Officer of Quicker Foods, Inc., as a member of its board of directors.
Quicker Foods, Inc. is a family-owned Tim Hortons & Wendy’s operator in Southern Ontario, committed to operational excellence, people, growth and community impact. Hogarth has been the COO for more than eight years. Prior to that, he served various roles in the organization.
“As a new father to two young children and a leader in a family-owned business, I believe every child deserves the stability, identity and sense of belonging that only a permanent home can provide,” said Hogarth. “I am so happy to join the board of directors of the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption-Canada and help make forever families possible for more children waiting in our nation’s foster care system.”
Hogarth’s father, Greg, served on the Foundation’s board of directors for several years. “Our family has a long tradition of serving this mission,” said Hogarth. “It’s an honor for me to step into this role.”
Through its signature program, Wendy’s Wonderful Kids™, the Foundation provides funding to adoption agencies to support the hiring of adoption professionals, known as recruiters, who implement an evidence-based, child-focused recruitment model. A rigorous, five-year evaluation in the United States revealed that the model is up to three times more effective at serving children who have been in foster care the longest, including teenagers, children with special needs and siblings.
To date, the Foundation’s program in Canada has helped find permanent homes for 669 children across eight provinces, with another 49 in their pre-adoptive placements.

Hogarth lives in Toronto with his wife, Amanda, and two young children along with their dog, Doug.
