Chris Stojanovski Joins Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption-Canada™ Board of Directors
Foundation committed to finding permanent homes for the more than 30,000 children waiting in Canada’s foster care system
Burlington, ON — The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption-Canada recently welcomed Chris Stojanovski, Vice President of Supply Chain for Wendy’s QSCC Canada, as a member of its board of directors.
QSCC is an independent, not-for-profit cooperative that is the second largest in the quick service restaurant industry with nearly $4 billion in buying power. QSCC is a part of Wendy’s® extended family and is dedicated to supporting its members and the Wendy’s system. Stojanovski has been with QSCC Canada for two years and has 15 years of experience in the food industry. He is responsible for developing and executing the supply chain strategy for Canada, while overseeing the procurement, project management and distribution functions. Previously, he worked for Walmart Canada and Sysco Canada.
“As a member of the Wendy’s Canada family, I am excited to join the board of directors for the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption-Canada,” said Stojanovski. “There are more than 30,000 youth in the Canadian foster care system who need the support of a permanent family. I am honored to be a piece of the puzzle that will help find them their perfect fit.”
“Our partnership with Wendy’s Restaurants of Canada continues to expand and with that, our ability to be a part of the solution for a critical societal need,” said Rita Soronen, President & CEO of the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption-Canada. “Chris’ expertise within the Wendy’s business and knowledge of how to deliver results will enhance our impact for children and youth counting on us right now.”
Through its signature program, Wendy’s Wonderful Kids™, the Foundation provides funding to adoption agencies to support the hiring of adoption professionals, known as recruiters, who implement an evidence-based, child-focused recruitment model. A rigorous, five-year evaluation in the United States revealed that the model is up to three times more effective at serving children who have been in foster care the longest, including teenagers, children with special needs and siblings.
To date, the Foundation’s program in Canada has helped find permanent homes for 669 children across eight provinces, with another 49 in their pre-adoptive placements.
Stojanovski holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Ryerson University. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his nephew and niece.
