Wendy's Classic Golf Tournament
An annual event sponsored by Wendy’s Restaurants of Canada benefiting the cause of foster care adoption in Canada and raising funds for the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption Canada. The funds are raised through golf sponsorships, prize and cash donations, raffle sales and a silent auction. Through the continued generosity and support of Wendy's franchisees, suppliers, corporate employees and the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption, the tournament will celebrate its eleventh anniversary in May 2010 at Rattlesnake Point Golf Course, Milton, Ontario.

Halloween Treat Program
Wendy’s Halloween Coupon booklets are available each October and feature a combination of several Jr. Frosty and Small Fry coupons for only $2.00. Proceeds from the coupon books are donated to the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption Canada. This coupon book offers children and parents a fun alternative to passing out Halloween candy and a chance for Wendy’s customers to support a worthwhile cause: foster care adoption!

Each December, the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption and the Children's Action Network present A Home for the Holidays, a CBS network television special bringing together all-star talent to raise awareness for foster care adoption. In 2009, the 11th annual A Home for the Holidays featured performances by Faith Hill, Michael Franti, Reba McEntire, Shakira and Carrie Underwood. In addition, Nia Vardolos and Jenna Elfman presented inspirational stories of extraordinary families who shared the joys found through foster care adoption.
Since 1999, this heartwarming holiday special has generated tens of thousands of calls from viewers moved to action. A Home for the Holidays shares, through the eyes of a child, the joy of having a family - not just for the holidays, but forever.
